A warm welcome to Swansea Bowling Club's website.
The Chesshyre Goblet was played in dry sunny conditions again this year. As usual, both Pen y Bryn and Bishop Gore Schools gave a fine performance of competitive bowling. The match was played in excellent spirits, and the standard of bowling was as we have now come to expect from both schools. We wish pupils, staff and assistants a pleasant summer break, and look forward to the event in 2011.
The Goblet was donated by Miss Mary Mumford, in memory of her sister Rosemary, and the competition is an annual event, played between pupils of Pen y Bryn and Bishop Gore Schools.

Swansea Bowling Club is located on Bryn Road, a short distance from Swansea beach at Brynmill, situated between the City of Swansea and the Victorian village of Oystermouth and the Mumbles. It is also a short distance from the Gower Peninsula - Britain's first designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
We have an excellent pavilion / clubhouse in which we offer our members and visiting clubs meals as well as a well stocked bar and entertainment.
Visiting clubs are always welcome for friendly matches.
Similarly new members are welcomed. If you have never bowled before we have coaches on hand to assist. Come and visit the club; you are under no obligation to join. The club runs two open sessions per week, Spoons on Monday evenings (17.45 ), and Triples on Friday afternoons ( 14.15 )
Three Cliffs Bay shown below is just one example of the many picturesque and beautiful coves and beaches on the Gower Peninsula. Others include, Bracelet Bay, Limeslade Bay, Rotherslade and Langland Bays, Caswell Bay, Pwll Ddu, Oxwich and Rhossilli. The area is ideal for walkers with many public footpaths.
